How the Camp Works
The Women’s Climbing Camp is a guided, skills-focused experience designed to build confidence and technical ability on real rock. The progression begins on Jackson Hole’s Via Ferrata, where climbers develop fundamental movement skills and build comfort with exposure on protected routes high above the valley floor. From there, participants advance to top-rope climbing on established routes, learning essential rope systems, belaying techniques, and efficient movement on rock while securely connected to a guide-managed system. Throughout the program, AMGA-certified coaches provide hands-on instruction and personalized feedback to help you develop skills and confidence in a world-class alpine setting.
Rock Climbing
The Women’s Rock-Climbing Camp is a guided, skills-focused experience designed to build confidence and technical ability on real rock. Throughout the program, participants learn and practice essential rope systems, belaying techniques and climbing movement in a supportive environment. Using established routes with permanent anchors for top-rope climbing, climbers wear a harness and specialty shoes while securely connected to a guide-managed rope system.
Our AMGA-certified coaches provide hands-on instruction, teaching efficient movement on rock, route selection, and proper rope management as you climb. With personalized coaching and progressive challenges, you’ll develop stronger technique, gain confidence on vertical terrain and expand your climbing skills over three immersive days in the Tetons.
What is Via Ferrata?
Via Ferrata, translated as "iron way," dates back to WWI. Italian soldiers built via ferratas to safely traverse mountain passes. The recreational use of via ferratas is a staple in the Alps for summer adventure, and Jackson Hole is excited to bring this experience to the Tetons. With 1 unique routes, the Jackson Hole Via Ferrata is an adventure unlike any other, offering some of the most incredible views of the valley as climbers make their way up iron rungs, ladders and suspended bridges, all while secured to cables along the rocks.
NEW ROUTES: Corbet's Couloir
New heights await in 2026. Building on years of Via Ferrata routes from the Bridger Gondola, we’re expanding to the summit with four new routes high above Corbet’s Couloir, accessed via the Aerial Tram. Stay tuned for maps and more information.
