Bluebird powder days have been a bit of a rarity recently in Jackson Hole, but that’s only because relentless December storms have kept the turns deep and always getting deeper. The winter solstice gifted us with beautiful blue skies this year, and the pre-Christmas skiing has been unreal. With the Headwall opening today and the Crags and Casper Bowl opening soon, the mountain is now in full operation with wall to wall, top to bottom openings! While some chilly temperatures have settled in at the base, the strong inversion has created warmer temperatures at the higher elevations. So bundle up, get up high and enjoy the amazing snow conditions. And most of all, Happy Holidays to all of you from Jackson Hole!
