Hailing from Oakland, California, Souls of Mischief is a legendary hip-hop group that helped define the genre’s golden era. Formed in 1991, the quartet—A-Plus, Opio, Phesto, and Tajai—burst onto the scene with their groundbreaking debut album 93 ’Til Infinity (1993), a record celebrated for its jazzy beats, intricate wordplay, and laid-back West Coast vibe. The title track became an instant classic and remains one of hip-hop’s most iconic songs.

As core members of the influential Hieroglyphics collective, Souls of Mischief have consistently pushed boundaries with their innovative sound and independent spirit. Their discography spans acclaimed releases like No Man’s Land, Montezuma’s Revenge, and There Is Only Now, featuring collaborations with producers such as Prince Paul and Adrian Younge. Beyond the studio, the group has toured globally, sharing stages with legends like A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, and The Roots.

More than three decades in, Souls of Mischief continue to inspire with their creativity, authenticity, and commitment to hip-hop culture—proving that their legacy truly lives on from 93 ’Til Infinity.
