Hans grew up in Vermont, where he began to snowboard at age 7. After competing for the earlier part of his career, where he amassed accolades like Snowboarder’s Superpark 17 Standout award, he moved west and focused on showcasing his skills in films.

Piper Kunst - 1st Place

Piper is a 21-year-old skier originally from South Park, Colorado. She moved to Salt Lake City, UT in 2018 to attend college at the University of Utah. She typically skis at Alta where she’s pushed harder in her career than ever before. The next big step for her career is Kings & Queens of Corbet’s.

Yuki Kadono - 2nd Place

1st 2015 Burton US Open Slopestyle, 1st 2020 Burton US Open Slopestyle, 6x X Games medalist, 2014 Olympics Slopestyle finals

Hyogo, Japan-based snowboarder Yuki is a history-maker. In the 2012-2013 season, he became the youngest snowboarder invited to Big Air and Slopestyle and participated in both Innsbruck and Beijing events, in Austria and China respectively. He also became the first snowboarder from Asia to win Big Air and Slopestyle in Beijing, and now plans to take part in more international contests, aiming to become the first Japanese rider to win the title of the world’s number one slopestyle snowboarder.

Juliette Willmann - 2nd Place

Juliette grew up in the little town in the alps, Barcelonnette, and started skiing at the age of two with her family, with one parent as a ski coach and the other one as a ski instructor – and her sister on the French Alpine ski team for years. Until the age of 18 she did a lot of alpine racing and competed in Alpine FIS Races for two years before she decided that racing wasn’t for her. It was later on as a ski-trainer for the little ski resort she finally discovered what Freeride was all about. Even though she had done a lot of off-piste and touring as a youngster, she had never entered a Freeride contest before. Now a household name on the Freeride World Tour, Juliette is going to expand her horizons yet again this year in Corbet’s Couloir.

Parkin Costain - 3rd Place

Notable Fact: 2020 King of Corbet’s

Parkin is a born-and-raised adrenaline junkie based out of Big Sky, Montana. He’s been skiing in the backcountry since he was a grom, learning from his dad beginning at just eight years old. Together, they filmed segments that subsequently won events like the Teton Gravity Research GROM Comp and Quiksilver YGSKI. Parkin’s career blossomed after he was crowned the 2020 King of Corbet’s and has now become a regular in TGR films.

Molly Armanino - 3rd Place

Molly is a freeskier living in South Lake Tahoe, California. She grew up ski racing and currently competes on the Freeride World Qualifier circuit. In addition to competing, Molly can be found seeking adventure in the backcountry, climbing high peaks in the Sierra, and having fun in the mountains. Molly also works as a climate activist in South Lake Tahoe. The blend of her passion for skiing, the outdoors, and her love for the planet is what drives her to explore the mountains, encourage women and young girls to venture onto the slopes, and care about the environment that acts as a catalyst for good times.

Cheryl Maas

3x World Champion, 3x Olympian, X Games Gold in Big Air

Originally hailing from the Netherlands, now calling Idaho home. Cheryl has made a name for herself on the more traditional contest circuits as a 3-time Olympian and World Champion, as well as an X-Games gold medalist in Big Air. More recently, she competed on the Natural Selection Tour and is looking to continue on the path of free ride competitions by competing in Kings & Queens 2022.

Blaine Gallivan - 5th Place

Blaine treads a unique path as a skier, sourdough baker, and chef. His adventures are documented in The Ski Journal, he’s stood on the podium at Kings & Queens of Corbet’s, and has garnered millions of views online with various ski lines. The wild landscapes of the Tetons shaped him as an athlete and each year he finds new ways to approach the mountains he calls home.

Marissa Krawczak

Marissa is a passionate freeride snowboarder who calls Bend, Oregon home. Jake Hopfinger

Notable Fact: First landed ski double backflip into Corbet’s 2020

Jake grew up on the east coast where ice was most familiar, but as he learned, powder skiing would be way more fun. He now calls Bozeman, Montana home and skis full-time in the backcountry, where he chases storms and shoots film segments. This year is his third Kings & Queens of Corbet’s event.

Audrey Hebert

2nd place 2021

Originally from the Ice-coast, Audrey moved out to Banff when she turned 18. She was always attracted to big mountains and the unlimited supply of powder in the west of North America. Audrey started competing in 2014 in freeride events and banked slaloms. Last year was her first time dropping into Corbet’s and is excited to be back this year.

Corey Jackson - People's Choice

Corey was born and raised in Jackson, Wyoming. He is a proud Jackson Hole Freeride alumni. He was previously the Olympic coach of an Irish skier for the 2018 Olympic Games in Halfpipe and is now he is the production manager for Teatonic Kombucha.

Madison Blackley

Notable Fact: Queen of Corbet’s 2021

Hailing from Park City, Utah, but now calling Salt Lake City home, Madison was crowned the 2021 Queen of Corbet’s after her second year competing in this event. With over 10 years of filming video parts and receiving nominations and accolades in the street and jib scene, she has been focusing on bringing her freestyle skills to the backcountry. The high camaraderie between the skiers and boarders in this event makes it her favorite competition of the season.

Blake Wilson

Born in Bethel, Maine, Blake grew up skiing at Sunday River Resort. His love of skiing led him to compete in mogul skiing and slopestyle for ten years. When he stopped competing, he found an affinity for big mountain terrain after seeing its potential in Utah. Blake won the 2019 Level 1 SuperUnknown contest and was able to ski among legends in ski films from Level 1, TGR, and Faction Skis, among others. He currently calls Salt Lake City, UT home where he enjoys skiing and producing content with friends.

Karl Fostvedt

Notable Fact: 2018 and 2021 King of Corbet’s

Karl is a backcountry skier and snowmobiler, born and raised in Sun Valley, Idaho. Known affectionately as “Crazy” Karl, he is known for pushing the sport and trying to expand on what he or anyone else had ever done. Beyond skiing, he also owns a production company called Native Earth Productions. He has also been featured in movies from MSP Films, Teton Gravity Research, among others.

Sander Hadley

Sander is an Idaho-born and bred skier known for big sends and a lack of fear that caught the attention of the ski world online. He gained notoriety from his ski resorts’ POV edit, “The Way I See It,” which got him an invite to film “Days of My Youth” with MSP.

Cooper Branham

Cooper was born and raised in Gig Harbor, Washington, where he learned to board at age 4. Cooper moved to Colorado to attend CU Boulder, where he began riding in the Rocky Mountains and competed in freeride. With his passion for the sport growing, he landed sponsorships with Satellite Boardshop in Boulder and Burton Snowboards.

This past season, he shot “This is Us In:” with Cam Fitzpatrick and his crew to produce Block Party. He is now hooked on blending his background in skating and park riding with the Wyoming backcountry.

Tim Durtschi

Tim is a local Jackson Hole and Teton Gravity Research athlete originally from Anchorage, Alaska. Growing up in AK, Tim discovered the freedom of the mountains and the ability to make a terrain park out of natural features. He has worked with film companies like Warren Miller, Teton Gravity Research, and Field Productions and competed in the Linecatcher, Swatch Skier Cup, and Cold Rush events. Chase is from Longmont, Colorado, where he’s been snowboarding since age 3. He has competed in all professional halfpipe events. Cam Fitzpatrick

Cam is a professional snowboarder, born and raised in Jackson, Wyoming. He started skiing at the age of two with the support of his dad who was on the JHMR Ski Patrol. Cam switched to snowboarding at the age of six, where he began to dream of becoming a professional snowboarder. Cam started competing at a young age and eventually became more interested in the filming side of the sport because he grew up watching snowboard videos of idols he’d looked up to.
