Date: Sat Sep 06, 2025
Location: Logan, UT to Teton Village, WY
Bikers in front of the tetons

LoToJa began in 1983 when two Logan cyclists, David Bern and Jeff Keller, sought to create a race as challenging as European classics. The first event covered 187 miles with only seven participants, but by 1986, the route expanded to over 200 miles, finishing at Teton Village. Since then, LoToJa has grown into the longest one-day USAC-sanctioned race in the U.S., featuring three mountain passes across Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. It attracts top amateur racers and recreational cyclists across 31 start groups. Some winners have gone on to professional careers, and the event has raised nearly $3 million for various charities.
