Winter Returns to Jackson Hole

At long last, powder.

Joyous hollers and gregarious smiles graced the faces of skiers and riders alike as saucer-sized flakes cascaded from the clouds. Grateful guests radiated stoke and a sense of relief that winter had returned to our home, providing softer conditions to quell the cycle of firm skiing and riding that had become too commonplace.

Roughly 12" fell during the day on Tuesday, March 8, and with another 8" overnight, Wednesday, March 9 had all the components of an incredible, and much needed, powder day. This fleeting storm had a gift in store for Jackson Hole, as freshly caked slopes glistened in the morning sunlight beneath pristine bluebird skies.

Tram riders, lift-liners, seasoned vets and first-timers alike submitted to the stoke that only a bluebird powder day can provide. This was an oasis to a desert traveller, and we had all been marooned amongst the metaphorical dunes for quite some time. 

20" felt a lot more like waist-deep in some places and face-shots were had aplenty.

March is an exciting time here: powder days, spring skiing, live music, and savings abundant, Jackson Hole is where you need to be! If you're coming to visit, please plan ahead and know that we have an online reservation system for lift tickets. As a reminder, we do limit daily capacity, so book early to ensure your ideal on-snow days aren't sold out. This reservation system is also in place for IKON Pass and Mountain Collective passholders; you can make your reservations on IKON and Mountain Collective's respective websites.
