Jackson has historically been a breeding ground for talent. From Crystal Wright and Jess McMillan dominating the big mountain scene to Travis Rice and Cam Fitzpatrick testing the talent limits of the snowboard community…there are an incredible amount of athletes raised in the Tetons. These athletes are often found traveling the globe, but every professional winter athlete still finds time to come home to Jackson. One of these special talents-Resi Stiegler-will be coming home this week on a break from the World Cup circuit (which she finished an impressive 11th and 16th in Aspen and Levi). Her homecoming will involve a fundraiser this Saturday for her racing season. I quickly caught up with Resi between her travels to get the low down on her season and favorite Jackson spots!
I have to say when they groom the Grand I am just in heaven first tracks down that baby on GS skis… feels so good. I love any part of the mountain on a powder day- there are so many secret spots!

Details about the upcoming Race for Resi:
Resi’s goal is to compete in the World Cup this season, with her sights on the 2015 World Championships in February. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort invites you to join the Jackson Hole community in supporting her during “Race for Resi” – a month-long celebration and race challenge. On December 6th, Resi will be in Jackson to kick off the event, meet fans, sign posters and of course après at the Bud Light party at the Moose! That day she will “set the pace” for an ongoing race for participants of all ages and abilities that will continue through New Year’s Day. Test your skills in the race arena and also enjoy chances to win great prizes from Kjus, Rossignol and more. Follow the online race challenge leaderboard, along with Resi’s World Cup results leading up to the 2015 World Championships!
