Over 200 athletes showed up and showed out at the IFSA Junior 3* events this past weekend at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Riders traveled from across the western region, with athletes representing Aspen, Palisades Tahoe, Mt. Bachelor, Steamboat, Big Sky, and more. The mountain also welcomed teams from Alaska, including the Alyeska Freeride Team, along with several independent riders.

Days one and two took place on Toilet Bowl, with finals held on Tower 3. Conditions pushed athletes to bring their full technical skill sets, as firm snow and big airs tested precision and control. The largest division of the event was U19 Ski Male, with an impressive 80 competitors. Zach Torres of Sun Valley claimed first place, followed by Nico Santelices from the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club in second, and Henry Lantz of the Alyeska Freeride Team rounding out the podium in third.

The U19 Ski Female division was equally competitive. Kira Livernois, competing as an independent athlete, took first place, Kennedy Cochenour of the Big Sky Ski Education Foundation placed second, and Ava Evans from the Grand Targhee Ski & Snowboard Foundation finished third. Check out the official results for all divisions here.

A huge thank you to the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club for bringing the IFSA Junior 3* event to Jackson Hole, and to the entire JHSC team, including Collin Rhem, Freeride Program Director, Shannon Roberts, Will Cavallaro, as well as all the volunteers and judges for leading an epic weekend.
