Each year as the season culminates, a list appears at the tram dock of a special few that are on their way to join the 100 club. The 100 club consists of those that are die hard skiers and have made it their mission to ski at the resort at least 100 days. At Jackson Hole, this becomes a challenge as the season only consists of 130 potential days to ski season. The reward for their efforts includes bragging rights, a 100 club patch, an epic breakfast at the Couloir restaurant with the best bacon you have ever dreamed of, and the joy of skiing for an extra day after the resort closes on Monday with the employees. Day in and out, folks click into their skis or snowboard in any condition that presents itself for the love of being on the snow.
Here are just a select few of the 1oo club members that I had the joy of meeting at the celebration breakfast. Enjoy, and congrats to everyone that made the 100 club and a special thanks to Connie Kemmerer for making the 100 club exist.
“We thank our employees, season passholders and guests for a fabulous season-best ever.” – Connie Kemmerer

A special dedication: This season was dedicated to Bully Burke who passed away this last summer season. He was a part of ski school and other jobs and a big part of the community. Jason skied with his pass around his neck every day this season. On powder days and when skiing big lines, he dedicated them to him and skied on his skis. Jason also started a Bully Burke stoke shack in secret location.

Why 100? I just ski almost every day and it just happens. Some years I have been barely there with 99. I am also proud to achieve the 2 million vertical feet club twice when they used to do that.
Peter and Marlene Lang
Days at end of season: 116 for Peter (85 years young!), 114 for Marlene Seasons on 100 club: over 8 years!
Favorite season memories: Marlene saw a snowshoe hare in the trees off rendezvous trail. Peter- It is hard to say as there were so many awesome days. Skiing with my wife is my favorite. Our favorite ski day is always employee ski day. Our favorite run depends on the snow conditions. We also learned a good tip with the tram line and follow this principle: If the tram line is really long we skip it so that we can ski more vs waiting in line. If it is a nice day and the line is short when it should be long, we skip it because that must mean the conditions are bad. We learned that the hard way. We also love looking for wildlife on the way to the village. This year one of our favorite moments is the eagle that roams around the road right before the entrance to Teton Village.
Why 100? Because we can. As long as we can ski, we are going to go for it. It is a really great accomplishment, especially at our age. We place all of our patches on our dresser at home. When the week day passes went away, we bought the full passes and went for it. Eagle going to village.
Congrats to all of the 100 club members in JH50. Here is the list of potentials as of March 31st at 10am with only 3 days left to try! See you next year!
And of course, cheers to another season celebrating the finish all over the mountain, including great music, finding sushi rolls being prepared! It was a stellar 50th season! Thanks to all that made it so special!
