Nightlife Guide

Seven Days, Seven Nights
Jackson Hole has something for every nocturnal creature. Go dancing or take in live music, meet friends for drinks and a bite or see a play. Jackson offers plenty of nightlife seven nights a week.

Mondays: Music in Moose
On Monday nights, Dornan's Spur Bar hosts the Hootenanny, an acoustic gathering open to all. Local and visiting musicians are welcome to sign up for a two-song slot. This open-mic-style gathering is one of Jackson's truly unique experiences and should be seen by any music lover. Sign-up begins at 5 p.m., while the sets start at 6 p.m.

Tuesdays: Two-Step in Town
Bluegrass Tuesdays have become a beloved tradition at the Wort Hotel's Silver Dollar Bar. Jackson's own One Ton Pig often plays to a packed house, starting at 7:30 p.m. With no cover charge, seats and spots on the dance floor get claimed quickly. After the band stops at 11 p.m., continue dancing at the Cowboy Bar--where a band plays most nights.

Wednesdays: Bands Abound
On hump day, concerts often serenade downtown. Check out the lineup of JacksonHoleLive - an all-ages summer concert series at the base of Snow King. Families and freewheelers flock to the ball field, where food and beverage tents ring the sand, and live tunes herald the sunset. Live music continues indoors in valley watering holes like Eleanor's Bar and Grill, the Pink Garter Theatre, the Wort Hotel, and the Cowboy Bar.

Thursdays: A Tale of Three Breweries & Disco
Jackson offers a trio of breweries to quench the thirst of appreciative Teton palates. Snake River Brewing Co. prides itself on crafting world-class beers to match the world-class scenery that surrounds it. A magnet for many awards at national and international competitions, Snake River makes a bevy of tasty brews, including its mainstays Snake River Lager, Snake River Pale Ale, and organic Snake River OB-1. At its Brew Pub, full mugs complement fresh fare, including pizza, salads, pastas, and burgers. Meanwhile, the nanobrewery at Thai Me Up crafts creative concoctions like its Melvin IPA, given gold for best American-style IPA at the 2012 North American Brewers Association annual awards. Other Thai Me Up brews nabbed awards as well: Mayhem snagged silver in the Honey Beer category, and Brother Ted placed third in Dubbels. Cap the Thursday tour with Disco Night at the Stagecoach Bar in Wilson, a weekly dancefest open to all. On the Moose-Village Road, the Roadhouse recently added a brewery to complement its creative barbecue. The new-brewery-on-the-block recruited a pair of devoted homebrewers to helm the in-house operation and make beers otherwise unavailable in Wyoming, such as "The Veil of Composure," a strong pale ale.

Fridays and Saturdays: Moose Hockey Games
Catch live music before the Moose Hockey games on Friday and Saturday nights throughout the winter at the Snow King Center.

Sundays at the Stagecoach
Since its doors first swung open more than 50 years ago, the Stagecoach Bar has become a hub for the many personalities populating the valley. For 42 of those years, the Stagecoach Band has played every Sunday night from 6 to 10 p.m. The Sunday crowd is a panoply of people swirling to folk songs. The band is led by revered extreme skier Bill Briggs, who was the first person to ski the Grand Teton in 1971.
