Information on the J Card

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort utilizes hands-free, gate access systems to the lifts (sometimes called RFID). Benefits to our guests are faster, smoother access, more time on the slopes, convenient reload options and no more hassle with paper lift tickets. To access lifts all guests will require a J Card, a credit card sized lift ticket with smart card technology. 

How does it work?  The J Card uses RFID technology to notify gates at each base lift to open when you approach.  This eliminates the need for you or the lift operator to scan your ticket.  Simply place your J Card in an empty torso pocket and the gate will open as long as you have days loaded onto the card.  If you don't have any days remaining on your card you can load more days at any time either online or at a ticket window.
