December 24th: Santa Drops In

The magic of Santa Jackson Hole Style, this is not your usual sleigh arrival for the holiday star. Join us under the tram around 4:30 PM for a special arrival and welcome the holiday season right! Please bring any last-minute letters for Santa Claus. There will be a box for kids to drop their letters into located by the Tram.

December 25th: Ski/Ride with Santa (10:00am - 12:00pm)

Santa is a pretty solid intermediate skier these days thanks to our friends at the Mountain Sports School! Seek him out on around Teewinot and the base of the Gondolas around 10 am, or find him on the hill afterward on Après Vous and Casper! He'll be skiing around until 12 pm.

December 26: Enjoy the Lights of Glow Nights

GLOW Nights is a month-long exhibit of original art installations that use colored and white light as a medium to celebrate the unique phenomena found in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE). Produced by Jackson Hole Public Art, GLOW Nights artists draw inspiration from the megafauna, calderas, hot springs, and dramatic vistas that inspire.

December 30: Stargazing at Stilson

Join Wyoming Stargazing at the Stilson Parking Lot (Village Road Transit Center) (in the north west corner of the lot behind the bus hut where there are no lights – see the pin on the map below) for our free public stargazing programs. Our astronomy educators will use one of our large aperture telescopes to show you planets, stars, planetary nebulae, galaxies, and more! We will also have several iPads with the Star Walk application installed on them so you can explore the heavens while others are looking through the telescopes. Throughout the night our astronomy educators will tell you everything you want to know about the objects you are viewing. We can also answer all your other questions about astronomy. There is no need to reserve your spot in advance. You can come and go as you please. We look forward to seeing you under the stars! Please dress warmly.

December 31: Glowworm Parade, Torchlight Parade, and Fireworks

Calling all kids! This New Years' tradition substitutes glow sticks for torch lights. We will load the Sweetwater Gondola from 4:45-5:15 and the parade will start at 5:30pm. Kids will finish at the base of Sweetwater Gondola. Come dressed in skis and boots (no poles please). Participation is free and sign up is not required. Parents are not required to accompany skiers but are welcome to join.

The Torchlight Parade will begin shortly after the Glow Worm parade reaches the Sweetwater Gondola, at approximately 6:15, and fireworks will follow the torchlight parade.
