Day 2 Update:

Day 2 presented the competitors with clearer skies, colder temps, and an inch of fresh snow, that to the surprise of everyone, greatly improved the course from the day before. The excitement was high for everyone who qualified from day 1. A field consisting of the top 70% of riders and skiers from every division.

Just like the day before, the snowboard side kicked off race with the groms running first and ending with the pros. After cycling through the snowboard divisions, the skiers took to the course in the running same order. The pro divisions took two runs on day 2 with the single fastest time counting for their final place in the standings. Far fewer wipeouts and a smoother course gave to the opportunity for faster times for everyone. See links below for the final standings for everyone who competed this weekend.

A big shoutout to the events team for organizing another successful Dicks Ditch, the park crew for building a fantastic course, and all of the competitors/fans for making a great weekend.

Day 1 Recap:

Day one of Dick's Ditch kicked off under cold, cloudy skies, providing challenging conditions for the field of competitors. Visibility was less than 300 yards and low-light lenses were a must-have during this qualifying stage. A firm, slick course meant control was imperative to complete a clean run, and unfortunately many competitors fell victim to washouts and falls that resulted in slower overall times.

70% of the total field of racers move on to the finals tomorrow. Find how these daring individuals fared today below!
