It feels like summer here in Jackson Hole and we are ready to get back into nature. This Saturday, May 30, the Bridger Gondola will start spinning for sightseeing along with many retail and restaurant options (full list of open retail and restaurants at the bottom). The gondola will run from 9am until 5pm daily during this early summer season, and lift tickets can be purchased online for the best price.

Early season conditions do exist on many of the trails, and snow is lingering at upper elevations. While a few hiking trails (Wildflower to the swing is clear and the Lower Faces Loop is a great option!) are open at the lower elevations, the summer service road is the way to access the gondola by hiking from the base at this time. We ask everyone to respect all closed signs and keep our trails intact for the whole summer by not hiking on muddy sections.

The Bridger Gondola will open for summer sightseeing this Saturday, May 30, 2020.

We are concern for the health and human safety of all employees and visitors.  Because of this, standard summer operations are being adjusted to navigate the new norms of social distancing and safety protocols. Our shops, restaurants and activities will have additional precautions and protocols in place this summer, which include enhanced cleaning of facilities, social distancing measures, hand sanitizer stations and required protective face coverings for guests and employees. Masks will be required for guests inside facilities and during activities where social distancing cannot be maintained. We are committed to following all state and local health orders, and will be continuously adjusting operations and safety protocols to protect staff and guests. For more details on health and safety protocols click here.

On Saturday June 20, we are planning to open more of our summer operations in Teton Village, including the Via Ferrata and Teewinot Chairlift to service the Jackson Hole Bike Park. Base area activities, like the Climbing Wall, Bungee Trampoline and Frisbee Golf Course, will be open as well as the Tin Can Cantina. Piste Mountain Bistro and The Deck at Piste are planned to open July 1.

Also, please note that guests with ski gear will not be allowed to load the Bridger Gondola this summer. As part of JHMR’s special use permit with Bridger Teton National Forest, no skiing is permitted within the ski area boundary after winter operating season, and due to limited response resources and no Aerial Tram access to the backcountry, JHMR will not allow skiing for summer 2020.
