11/28/16 | Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to Open this Thursday, December 1st

(November 28, 2016), Teton Village, WY – After receiving 18 inches of snow overnight, JHMR is pleased to kick off the winter season this Thursday, December 1st.  JHMR will open Teewinot and Après Vous lifts at 9 am on Thursday with additional lifts and terrain scheduled to open over the weekend as snow conditions allow.  “We’re excited to kick off the season.  With this latest storm cycle producing over a foot and a half snowfall in the upper elevations, that brings our season snowfall total to 95 inches.  We’re looking forward to a good winter, and will be opening terrain as quickly as possible, ” Blann went on to note.

Recently in the news, for the sixth year running, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) is ranked the #1 resort in North America by Forbes Magazine.  “Being named the #1 Resort for the sixth year in a row is a terrific honor for Jackson Hole as Forbes takes into account the entire resort experience from terrain and snowfall to lifts and ease of access,” stated JHMR President, Jerry Blann.

Along with Jackson Hole, five additional Mountain Collective Resorts landed in the Forbes Top 10 this year including Alta, Snowbird, Whistler-Blackcomb, Telluride and Aspen.  “It is exciting to see Mountain Collective resorts dominate over half of this list; it is a true testament to the independent spirit and commitment to high quality ski experiences which The Mountain Collective was founded upon,” noted Blann.  Neighboring Wyoming ski resort Grand Targhee also made the list, ranking at number nine.
