Day 1 Qualifiers - Friday, January 19th:

Day 1 of the 2024 IFSA Jr. Freeride Comp at Jackson Hole went off for the U12 and U19's today! While the venue, Toilet Bowl, got a great refresh of snow over the past few days, skiers and riders competed today in tough visibility. In and out of snow and fog, the copmetitors threw down their best runs in hopes of making Sunday's finals. Freeriders are scored based on line choice, fluidity, technique, control, and style as they navigate through natural terrain featuring trees, steeps, cliffs, chutes, drops, and gullies where they are rewarded for using the features creatively.

Day 1 results can be found here.

Come check out the U15 qualifiers tomorrow in Toilet Bowl and U12/U15/U19 finals on Sunday in the adjacent venue, Tower 3. Check back Saturday evening for updated results and photos.

Day 2 Qualifiers - Saturday, Janaury 20th:

U15 Ski & Snowboard, male & female went big today during day 2 of IFSA qualifiers at Jackson Hole. Competitor after competitor found unique lines through in Toilet Bowl. There were some super fluid runs out there, with riders connecting multiple cliff drops, controling their speed in between, and finishing with mini hits and tree taps into the finish line. The atmostphere was all time with parents, competitors, coaches, and specators all cheering the riders on through the finish corral.

Day 2 results can be found here.

Tomorrow's 80 total finalists from all categories will move venues and compete in Tower 3, finishing again at the base of Toilet Bowl.

Day 3 Finals - Sunday, January 21st:

Congrats to all of the finalists in the 2024 Jackson Hole IFSA Regional. Today brought difficult visibility conditions, causing the unfortunate cancellation of finals in a few of the divisions due to safety and judging  conerns. For those that were able to compete when the clouds broke, Tower 3 provided a great venue with soft snow that allowed skiers and riders to show off their skill.

Finals results will be posted to Live Heats when complete. Check back Monday morning for addition photos, including division podiums.

This event is a huge success due to the hard work of the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club Freeride Program, JHMR Ski Patrol, and JHMR Race and Events Crew – so if you see these hard workers on the hill give ’em a high five.
