Kids Seasonal Programs


Grades: Preschool
Ability Level: Beginners – Advanced Level Skiers

Cultivate your kid’s abilities during the 12-week Scouts program for preschool skiers. Small groups, taught by a staff trained in early childhood development, create a fun atmosphere, and allow young skiers to progress at their own pace. Children must be potty trained and willing to participate in an all-day activity. Offered Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Saturdays.

From first timers to Tram skiers, students of all abilities go on adventures and improve their skills during the 12-week Rangers program. Our progressive curriculum finds instructors building on the skills taught the week before, with a continuous emphasis on safety, fun and learning. Throughout the season, children are challenged in a fun, supportive atmosphere. Activities, drills and games help develop skiing skills. Offered Saturdays.

Teton Village Racers and Riders 

Skiers and snowboarders of intermediate to expert ability – in 2nd to 9th grades – explore the mountain and improve their skills during the 12-week Racers and Riders program. Professional instructors focus on drill-oriented training, directed freeriding and, of course, fun. Students explore the entire mountain with forays into the park and pipe. Racing and mountain awareness are emphasized throughout the curriculum. On the first day, students are assessed by ability and aggressiveness in order to build cohesive groups. Offered Saturdays.

Evolution Team 

Freestyle is the next big step for intermediate to expert-level skiers and snowboarders in 2nd to 9th grades. The 9-week Evolution Team program – held on Sunday afternoons – welcomes kids who want to learn new tricks. No previous park or pipe experience required. From hitting the stash park to getting air, Evolution Team encourages kids to challenge their comfort zones in a fun, safe, supportive environment. Freestyle coaches use tested progressions and guided discovery to help kids progress at their own pace. Safety, fun and learning anchor all activities.

Teton Village Ski Team 

Teton Village Ski Team welcomes advanced- through expert-level skiers. Team members must be able to execute strong technique on double blue runs in all conditions, and have the desire to work on race technique. Our expert coaches – racers themselves – guide skiers in practice sessions that emphasize fun, drills and gate training. Ski Team sessions span 12 all-day Saturdays and 9 half-day Sundays.

Jackson Hole Mountain Rippers 

A stepping stone for skiers and snowboarders who are just starting out, yet aspire to greatness. Open to 2nd to 9th grade beginners, Mountain Rippers program encourages beginners to excel with peers of their same age and ability. The program, spanning 9 weeks on Saturday afternoons, introduces kids to Jackson Hole’s versatile terrain.

JH Anomaly Team 

Grades: 6th – 12th Grade
Ability: Intermediate – Expert Level Skiers and Snowboarders

Anomaly is a team of athletes aspiring to progress their overall freeriding skills. Training encompasses all aspects of the sport with an emphasis on FUN! Team members build on their all mountain skiing/riding skills, develop better mountain awareness with an introduction to avalanche education, beacon practice, and a guided backcountry tour. The program also highlights basic through advanced skills in Terrain Park, and Halfpipe. Coaches are accomplished, competitive freeriders eager to share their knowledge and experience with young athletes. Athletes are encouraged but not required to compete in local events such as:

•    Dick’s Ditch Banked Slalom
•    JH Junior Freeride Open
•    USASA Slopestyle
•    USASA Halfpipe

*Intermediate abilities are recommended but not required
