Fathers Ride the Tram for Free on Father’s Day

Celebrate Father’s Day and the Summer Solstice with Free Tram Rides For Dads in Teton Village

(Teton Village, WY. June 18, 2009) – This Sunday, June 21, Teton Village will celebrate the longest day of the year and Father’s Day with a day full of fun and activities for Dads and their families. Dads will bring in the first day of summer with FREE rides all day long on the new aerial tram with the accompaniment of their children. At the tram summit at 10,450’, families will find amazing 360-views of Grand Teton National Park and the Snake River valley as well as delicious made-to-order waffles at Corbet’s Cabin.

From 11:00am – 3:00pm, Teton Village will be host to various activities for dads and their families. A treasure hunt will bring families on a hunt around the base area for various clues and prizes. Registration for the treasure hunt will occur all day at the Clock Tower. Also, the JH Astronomy Club will be giving a talk on the significance of the summer solstice at 3pm on the Teton Club Deck. Live music by Dark Cheddar will keep the fun going all day long.

In conjunction with the Teton Village events, JH Paragliding will host its annual Aerofest with high flying paragliding demonstrations at the tram summit. Whether observing from the top of Rendezvous Mountain or at the base, these paragliders will be a sight to see!
