Jackson Hole Kicks off the Spring Ski Season Welcoming March Radness with NEW Instagram Takeover and Weekend Events: Dicks Ditch Banked Slalom and All New Eco Après

(March 2, 2015), Teton Village, WY Spring ski season is in full effect at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) as March Radness kicks off this week with an exciting Instragram take over, Music Under the Tram, alpine races and eco-focused parties. Yesterday launched the March Radness Instagram Takeover, where all month long six talented local photographers are taking over @jacksonhole. To make March even more RAD the takeover is interactive, as followers have a chance to be featured on @jacksonhole and win 2 lift tickets for JHMR. All Instagram photos tagged #JHdreaming are entered and every five days a new winner will be announced.

This first weekend in March marks the 16th Annual Dick's Ditch Classic Giant Banked Slalom Race March 6-8, 2015. The two-day banked slalom event is a much-loved tradition and premier competition at JHMR running on man made and natural terrain in Dick's Ditch from Lupine Way down to South Pass Traverse. This year presents Saturday's run as the qualifier followed by the Sunday final. Both skiers and snowboarders advancing to Sunday's competition start with a clean slate in a one-run, winner-takes-all format.

The weekend on-mountain activities are met with equal fun and sprit at the base area on Saturday, March 7th with the first Music Under the Tram of the season featuring One Ton Pig and Eco Après, an event where local non-profits committed to conserving energy and protecting the environment are invited to Teton Village to share information and initiatives with attendees in a fun mountain environment. All proceeds from the event benefit local non-profit Jh20, an organization installing water bottle filling stations throughout the valley.  Raffle prizes and beer specials will be available to all who attend. For more event details click here.

"March is arguably the best month of the Jackson Hole season.  Great skiing and riding, numerous on-mountain activities together with the social and entertainment lineup makes March the perfect start to spring here in Jackson Hole," explains Adam Sutner, Vice President of Marketing. "We have one of the deepest snowpacks in North America, and a huge amount of activities lined up for our guests - all of which makes Jackson an irresistible Spring destination," Sutner noted.
