8/27/15 | JHMR Hosts 'Born to be Wild' Movie Premiere

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Hosts Born to be Wild Movie Premiere
Thursday, September 24th in Miller Park

(Teton Village, WY. August 27, 2015) - With fall in the air, winter is approaching, and it's not just any winter - this season is the 50th Anniversary of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) and the resort is kicking it all off with a FREE local movie premiere party.

JHMR invites the Jackson Hole community and all winter enthusiasts to Miller Park on Thursday, September 24, 2015 starting at 5pm. There will be live music by Jeff Crosby and the Refugees, amazing raffle prizes, an interactive art booth, kids activities, food and drink vendors and more. The highlight of the evening will be the official premiere of Born to be Wild. This 30 minute movie is the result of a two-year collaboration between JHMR and Teton Gravity Research with amazing footage from Mike Brown, Brain Farm, Warren Miller and the private collections of others.

Don't miss this incredible display of Jackson Hole cinematic history, edited to an iconic soundtrack, all while enjoying a cold one with friends and family on the lawn of Miller Park. The party starts at 5pm with a live DJ spinning music until the movie premiere starts at 6:30pm. Jeff Crosby & the Refugees will then take the stage for some post-movie dancing and revelry.

The party also features amazing raffle prizes with chances to win a pair of Rossignol Soul 7 skis (1 of only 100 signature 50th anniversary pairs made), a 50th Anniversary Grand Pass, a limited edition Dakine 50th Anniversary Heli Pro Pack and other great prizes. All are welcome to join in the fun. Come early, bring a blanket, reconnect with your tram line friends and share in the stoke. In the meantime - post your favorite JHMR memories and photos using the hashtag #JH50 and don't forget to purchase your season passes by August 31st for the best prices.

The Adult Grand Pass® offers unlimited skiing and riding for a scheduled 130 day season with no restrictions for $1325. The Senior Grand Pass® will be offered for $915. The Grand Pass® also offers great value options for youths, providing unlimited access to the next generation of skiers and riders. The Junior Grand Pass for ages 6-14 will be $175, the Student Grand Pass for ages 15-18 will be $310 and kids 5 and under ski for free.

All 2015-16 Grand Passes® include afree winter START bus pass, 2016 summer Aerial Tram access in early and late season, discounted summer activities, discounts at JHMR restaurants, retail, rental and repair stores, as well as complimentary Jackson Hole Ski Club membership.

50th Anniversary Winter 2015-16

Over its nearly 50 year history Jackson Hole has evolved, but the spirit remains bold and wild, as the last true bastion for all those who dare to live this dream. JHMR was kick-started in the early 1960's by the passionate dream of its founders, Paul McCollister and Alex Morley. From humble and rugged beginnings, this dream was fully realized decades later with the ingenuity of a family with historic ties to the Cowboy State. In their tenure of ownership since 1992, the Kemmerer family has invested greatly in the prosperity of Jackson Hole and the state of Wyoming. With vast improvements to operations, lifts and infrastructure, they have ushered JHMR into its present-day luster and world-wide iconic status as "The Big One." Next winter, JHMR is celebrating that "Born to Be Wild" spirit all season long with events, a video web series produced by TGR, and ‘The Crags' will undergo a transformation with the construction and December 2015 opening of the brand new Teton Lift. This new high-speed quad lift will carry skiers and riders 1,600 vertical feet to an area that has previously only been accessible via hiking.
