What’s New at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort for Winter 2010

Grand Pass: All mountain Access for Less
JHMR introduces the Grand Pass for winter of 2010-2011, providing unrivaled value and access for local skiers and riders. The August price on a Grand Pass delivers an unrestricted Jackson Hole experience at a 25% discount over last year, a rate not seen since the 1980’s. JHMR is also introducing Youth and Student versions that provide unrestricted access for kids, regardless of whether their parents are passholders.
The Adult Grand Pass offers unlimited skiing over the entire 128 day season for $1,255. The new Youth Grand Pass provides the same access for kids aged 6-14 for just $149. Finally, the Student Grand Pass, for ages 15-18, offers unrestricted mountain access for only $275. All passes include free START bus access to and from the town of Jackson.
Burton Stash Parks: It’s an Organic Terrain Park
This summer, JHMR, in collaboration with Snow Park Technologies, has begun construction of 5 Burton Stash Parks that incorporate natural features and native materials to create ramps, rails and jumps in ‘stashed locations’ across the mountain. These eco-driven Stash Parks enhance the mountain’s rowdy terrain making Jackson Hole #1 in the US for creative big mountain riding. Take it from Jake (Burton) “The Woods are the Goods.” Get some at www.TheStash.com
Check out what Rob Kingwill JHMR Snowboard athlete (former US Snowboard Open halfpipe champion, podium in over 30 World Cup events, including X-Games, North Face Masters, World Championships) has to say:
“The Stash concept is a perfect fit for Jackson Hole- we already have insane terrain that lends itself to freeride and freestyle all over the mountain. By having a crew dedicated to making sure the natural hits are well shaped, as well as enhancing other terrain and creating new possibilities, Jackson Hole will truly be the world's best natural terrain park.”Snowmaking and Grooming Improvements: Wide Open Cruising
This winter a 25% boost in snowmaking (bigger pipes, more power, and new acreage) means more terrain open earlier, and in better shape longer. We are also adding a new winchcat, which will ensure better corduroy than ever before.
Daily direct to LAX: Non-stop to the Wilderness
Leave the freeways behind and step onto a non-stop flight to the wilderness. This winter United Airlines is flying a daily direct to Jackson Hole. This latest addition to Jackson Hole’s list of non-stop destinations puts the once remote western outpost a hop from southern California. The daily flight is scheduled to depart LAX at 11.35am, arriving in Jackson at 1.35pm. The outbound flight from Jackson departs at 11.35am, arriving in LAX at 1.35pm.
