Group Winter Activities
Winter Group Activities
- Tours & Tips: Take a Mountain Tour guided by our JH Mountain Sports School Staff and get some pointers while getting oriented with the mountain. (There is a minimum number of 10 people required for Tours & Tips).
- Group Welcome Receptions
- Private Camps and Group Lessons: Your group's day will run smoothly as our professionals will meet your group at your lodge or other designated location and ensure guests arrive at organized lunches, meetings and activities promptly. Customized camps and lessons are also available.
- NASTAR Racing (private races available)
- Backcountry Skiing and Snowboarding: Jackson Hole is famous for its expansive and pristine out of bounds areas, and our backcountry guides can show you why. Our guides will take you to untracked terrain and secret powder stashes. While exploring these areas, the guides will help familiarize you with the use of the backcountry safety equipment and travel etiquette. This is an opportunity that any advanced skier or snowboarder visiting Jackson Hole should not miss!
- Nordic Skiing: Inject some variety into your ski week by enjoying the cross-country, telemark skiing, and skate skiing available at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Instruction is available, and you may trade one day of your group lift ticket in for a Nordic Trail Pass at no extra cost.
- Grand Teton National Park: Cross-country ski in one of the nation's most dramatic national parks. Tours are easy to moderate, including a gourmet lunch and transportation to and from the park.
- Snowmobiling in Jackson Hole & the national parks: Piloting your own snowmachine along the snow covered roads in Yellowstone is one of the most memorable winter activities in the whole world. You will have the opportunity to see moose, bison, elk, deer, coyote, wolves and a whole array of different geo-thermal features, including the world famous Old Faithful geyser. If you are more interested in opening up the throttle, plowing through virgin powder fields, and blazing a trail through beautiful glades, you should check out the snowmobile tours around Togwotee Pass, Greys River, Granite Hot Springs, and the Gros Ventre Mountains.
- Horse drawn Sleigh Rides through the National Elk Refuge: Located just north of the town of Jackson, the National Elk Refuge is home to coyotes, bison, wolves, and over 7,000 elk each winter. Horse drawn sleigh tours operate through the refuge every day, leaving from the National Museum of Wildlife Art.
