Whether you are looking for groomers, steeps, private powder caches or a magic carpet: whether you alpine, telemark, snowboard or cross country ski, Northwest Wyoming has the experience you are looking for with 3 amazing resorts all within one hour. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is located just 12 miles from Jackson and is the “big one” home of the aerial tram, amazing intermediate terrain and a full resort experience. Grand Targhee located approximately one hour away in Alta Wyoming is a powder paradise, great skiing and riding with the hallmark of independence and finally Snow King, looms over the town of Jackson providing some steep north facing terrain loved by locals and visitors alike.
Snow King Resort
Jackson's 'Town Hill" is also the oldest ski resort in Wyoming. In addition to its convenient location, Snow King is a magnet for racers - especially for national teams training early season. 'The King' offers the only night skiing in the area, and 'King Tubes,' their snow tubing park, is a must-do activity for all ages!
Located on the western slope of the Tetons in Alta, Wyoming, Grand Targhee is about 75 minutes from Jackson. Averaging 500" of snow/ year, Targhee offers some of the best intermediate powder skiing in North America. The cozy base area offers passage to 2,000 acres of skiing and snowboarding. If you're skiing Jackson Hole for a week, a day at Targhee is well worth the trip.
