Storms Pound the Tetons
Season Snowfall Tops 20 Feet at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

(January 31, 2013 - Teton Village, WY) With the latest storm delivering over 2 feet of snow this week, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) has now received over 20 feet of snow, season to date. Jackson Hole has been leading the Rocky Mountain region for snowfall for most of the winter and experienced record skier days so far this season.

“The snow is really shaping up in our favor as we head into the heart of winter; pretty much assuring skiers and riders will find the snow conditions they desire well into April,” stated Jerry Blann, JHMR President. “The new Casper lift and intermediate trail expansion has been received extremely well by our guests, and has been key in the way skiers move across the mountain. Even with the increased number of visitors, our guest service scores have improved significantly over prior years" noted Blann.

February and March are exciting months in Teton Village with special events every weekend, including the famous Dick’s Ditch Classic, a banked slalom race March 1-3rd for skiing and March 8 -10th for snowboarding, live Music Under the Tram every Saturday in March and the premiere music event of the winter, Jackson Hole Mountain Fest. The featured headliner for the 8th Annual Mountain Fest on March 30th is O.A.R. The band will bring new and familiar music to the stage, and is guaranteed to put on a show that will be bright and exciting for everyone in the Jackson Hole and ski community.

This winter has the possibility to be one for the record books.

Jackson Hole continues to famously deliver our legendary powder snow, 4,139 continuous vertical feet, 2500 acres of the best beginner, intermediate and expert skiing and snowboarding and a genuine “Last of the Old West” atmosphere. Three years of extensive investments in grooming, snowmaking, lifts and visitor services across the mountain have created an entirely new mountain experience for a broad variety of guests and we intend to continue to broaden this appeal. Neighboring the legacy National Parks of Yellowstone and Grand Teton and operating in Grand Teton National Forest there is no more spectacular setting for a destination resort in the world. Now with nine nonstop cities (and hundreds of connections) flying to the newly expanded airport, Jackson Hole is one of the most easily accessed destination resorts in the West.
