JHMR has a number of resort-wide quantitative environmental targets to achieve 10% changes in resources use by 2015 (10 x 15). The quantitative goals are based on intensity measurements per guest visit (to encourage business efficiency without penalizing growth) from a 2009 baseline (when the new tram and Bridger restaurant were fully operational).
By 2015 JHMR will:
(1) Reduce by 10% its carbon dioxide equivalent emissions (from propane/natural gas, gasoline/diesel, and electricity consumption);
(2) Reduce by 10% its domestic water consumption;
(3) Increase by 10% its waste diversion to recycling and composting.
