Fran Sheehan
Fran had his first paying gig at 6 years old. He played trumpet in grade
school band, then started playing bass guitar in 9th grade and had high
school rock band that played dances at schools. Fran met and played in jam bands with Barry Goudreau and Sib Hashian in 1968 and 1969. Following this he studied voice at New England Conservatory of Music in 1970 and 1971. The early 70s saw Fran playing and singing in popular rock and R&B horn bands, including Bag Shot Row, Spring Rain and Brahman. Helped formed original rock band "Boston" in 1975 with Barry Goudreau, Sib Hashian, Brad Delp and Tom Scholz, which had the largest debut album of all time. Left "Boston" in 1988. Has played in All-Star Bands and at numerous charity events since leaving Boston. He has raised thousands of dollars for high schools and
young
children over the years.
