Jackson Hole has been coined a "Neverland." If that is true, I am Tinkerbell.  Growing up in Jackson, I didn't hang out at the mall and I didn't see my first concert until I was in college.  Jackson doesn't have a mall.  Instead, there are the Grand Tetons and the Snake River to explore.  Which is why I spent my winters playing in the snow, ski racing, jumping off cliffs, and exploring the backcountry.  My summers were filled with climbing in the Tetons, swimming in the mountain lakes, and kayaking on the Snake River.  While I was growing up, every day felt like an adventure, and as an adult I can't shake that need for adventure.

For me, freeskiing is the greatest adventure of all.  Whether I am skiing my favorite runs on Sublette or exploring a new zone in the backcountry, I love the experience of intoxicating risk and opportunity.  Competing on the Freeride World Tour has taken me around the world: traveling to Russia, Japan, Europe, and South America.  However, if I had to choose, I would never trade my Neverland.

I love waking up at sunrise to see the sun's pink glow dancing across the freshly fallen snow on the Tetons.  There is nothing quite like getting stuck in a herd of buffalo on my way into town.  And I can't think of anything I enjoy more than catching the first tram on powder day.  It is said that Tinkerbell could only feel one emotion at a time.  If that is true, when I am skiing, the one emotion I feel is passion.  "If only I had fairy dust, I could fly."
