Ski Class Lesson FAQs

Listed below are the most common questions regarding class lessons. Please read through this guide, as the answer to you question is probably here!
Beginner and Intermediate classes form at the Teewinot Meeting Place at the base of the Teewiont and Eagle’s Rest Lifts. Look for the Mountain Sports School sign. Beginners will be shuttled from there to a protected learning environment, offering the mildest pitch on the mountain.
Mountain Masters classes form at the top of the Bridger Gondola Meeting Place, also under the Mountain Sports School sign. Please allow for a 10 minute ride to the top of the gondola.
In full day lessons, classes break for an hour around noon.
Learn to Turn package lift tickets are valid on Teewinot and Eagles Rest Chairlifts only.
Turn it Up package lift tickets are valid on all beginner and intermediate charlifts when accompanied by an instructor.
Mountain Masters package lift tickets are valid on all lifts.
Class size averages 5-8 students per instructor.
The rental package includes skis, poles, and boots.
• Wicking long underwear tops and bottoms
• Waterproof ski gloves or mittens
• Water-proof and wind-proof ski jacket
• Mid-weight top or fleece shirt (for layering options)
• Goggles
• Neck gaiter
• Water-proof/breathable ski pants
• Lip balm and sunscreen
• Helmet or a warm hat that covers your ears
• Wicking ski socks (thick wool socks often cut off circulation in ski boots, thin wool ski socks are superior)
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort neither discourages nor encourages the use of helmets; please use your best judgement. Helmets can be rented or purchased at Jackson Hole Sports.
Please refer to our ski level assessment chart . If you are hesitant, it is always better to hedge on the conservative side, especially if time has passed since you skied last. That way you'll allow yourself the opportunity to regain confidence and refresh your skills.
