We appreciate your interest in working at the Jackson Hole Mountain Sports School for the 2007/2008 winter season. Our school is growing and we need qualified professionals who are interested in furthering their career at a dynamic and progressive mountain sports school. The application process for the 2007-2008 season has begun and will continue through the summer. Please read the various options below.
Experienced applicants
If you are an experienced professional with at least a Level One certification and two years teaching experience within PSIA-AASI* or have the foreign equivalent, including ISIA certification, then please apply as per the "How to Apply" section below. Your application will be reviewed during the summer months by our management staff. After assessing all the applications of experienced professionals we will conduct interviews for qualified candidates. You will be notified by email if you have been selected to interview. This process will be completed by mid-September 2007.
Experienced foreign applicants
We have a limited number of H-2B visas available for the upcoming 2007/2008 winter season. Due to increased interest from qualified professional instructors from around the world we will only accept applications from fully certified foreign instructors who possess a current ISIA card and have at least four years experience as a full-time instructor. Preference will be given to those instructors who are certified in more than one discipline and can teach both adults and children.
Foreign applicants
Please go to the Visa Information Page for information on H2B and J1 visas. Please note, as of August 15, we are no longer accepting applications from foreign professionals requiring an H-2B visa for the 2007-2008 season. Foreign applicants must also submit the completed H2B Visa Application form.
Applicants with no or limited experience
Applicants with no experience or who are certified Level 1 instructors with less than two years of teaching experience and no A.C.E. certificate are required to attend the Instructor Training Course to be held December 3-5, 2007. For more information on the 2007 Instructor Training Course please go to: Instructor Training Course Enrollment Form
Other options available for applicants with no or little experience
- Full and part-time positions in our Wrangler daycare program (ages 6 months to 3 years)
- Full and part-time positions in our Rough Rider ski (ages 3-6) and Little Ripper snowboard (ages 5-7) programs
- Full and part-time positions within our Kids Ranch working with the Explorers program (ages 7-14).
- Please email Kathleen Roe at kathleenr@jacksonhole.com to arrange an interview for any of these programs.
We will conduct interviews during the summer months and at our company job fair in October 2007. Following the job fair, we will invite qualified candidates to an on-snow interview. We are also available for interviews throughout the summer or fall either in person or by phone if you are unable to attend the job fair.
All job offers are conditional upon successful completion of all paperwork, review of the applicant's fitness for duty, professional and personal references, and meeting our grooming guidelines and standards. Furthermore, both experienced and inexperienced newly hired professionals will participate in an extensive training program conducted by the JHMR Mountain Sports School.
Please feel free to stay in touch with us during this process, and if you have the opportunity to meet with us in person please call to set up an appointment.
