For intermediate through expert snowboarders - levels 4-6

Are you looking for added poise to get down the steeps or the control to ride with complete confidence? Do you dream of taming the terrain you see in magazines and videos? Are you an intermediate to advanced snowboarder between 25 and 50 years old? If so, join our team of professional coaches for the Jackson Hole Steep & Deep Snowboard Camp. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offers unique terrain to elevate your riding. The most extreme snowboarders in North America do not call Jackson Hole their home because they were raised here. One element causes the Mecca-like pilgrimage: terrain.

The Steep & Deep Snowboard Camp is an intensive four day camp. You will be introduced to and grouped with snowboarders of similar abilities, with the same goal in mind, to become better. “Receiving instruction on the type of terrain at Jackson Hole is unique. Usually you learn and practice on easier terrain, then go to the expert places to test your skills. I think that’s why our campers emerge from the camp with so much more confidence in their abilities," says coach Steve Bigger.

The cream of the JHMR snowboard school will teach skills crucial to big mountain riding. American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI) Elite Team Member Mikey Franco and Steep and Deep coach: “I am amazed at the quality of big mountain and backcountry coaching that has developed at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The coaches have such personal pride in teaching campers advanced techniques and sharing the experience of riding the mountain like a local.”

Techniques like the "Tip Roll" and the "Tokyo Drift" are taught for control on steep terrain. Campers also learn terrain evaluation and avalanche safety awareness. A guided backcountry experience is offered for advanced riders.

“The people and the camaraderie between the people in the camp and the instructors is tremendous and makes the whole experience worthwhile above and beyond the great instruction. The number of repeat campers has always left a big impression on me and I think most of us who attend realize that financially the camp is a bargain when one considers the personal instruction, meals, off slope activities, and the prize drawings at the banquet,” said Jeffery Smith, four-time repeat camper.

If you want to join the instructors that have been taming this terrain for years and enjoy excellent riding, Jackson Hole Steep & Deep Snowboard Camp is for you!
