What is included in the Camp price?
The camp price ($890 for most camps) includes coaching, lift tickets, lunches, apres-ski activities, an Awards Dinner, discounts on demos and gear, new friends and an incredibly great time!

Am I Good Enough for Camp?
Ability level is a big concern for many prospective campers. Most of our camps will accommodate anyone intermediate through the expert level. The only exception to this rule is the Steep and Deep Camp. This camp is geared toward advanced and expert skiers. To do the Steep and Deep camp you should be comfortable on all black runs in a variety of conditions.

Questions we ask to help people determine if they are ready for most camps:
Do you love to ski and want to improve your technique?
Have you ever skied in Jackson or any resort with challenging terrain?
Are you comfortable on Intermediate (blue) terrain in any conditions at these resorts?

More questions to decide if you are good enough for Steep & Deep Ski Camp?
Do you ski on Expert (black) terrain?
Are you interested in improving your technique on these runs?
Do you want to learn to ski/ride steeps, chutes and trees?

If you answered yes to these questions you should be a great candidate for one of our Wild West Camps. If you’re still not sure, feel free to call or e-mail us for more information.

How many people are in each camp?
Most of our camps have about 40 – 70 people for each session. The groups are split by ability level and have approximately 5 to 6 students per instructor. The groups will be initially arranged using the written skier profile filled out by each camper. Additionally, on the first morning all campers participate in an on-hill ability assessment. This process works well to organize campers with similar ability levels into groups.

Who are the coaches?
Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard School employs professional instructors from all over the world. The camp coaches are our most experienced instructors, many of whom are Level 3 PSIA certified or higher. They are the best coaches on the mountain and have been at Jackson Hole for many years.

Age Limits
Wild West Camps are for adults only. We will allow teens (at least 15 years) when accompanied by an adult participating in the camp. The camps often venture into situations where mature decision-making processes are necessary. Also, for the benefit of other campers, we prefer to keep the social interaction at an adult level.

Accommodations
Jackson Hole Resort Lodging offers great package deals and are available to take reservations immediately at 800-443-8613. Many campers have enjoyed the convenience and economic savings offered by the Village Center Inn available through Resort Lodging. In general, we recommend that campers stay in Teton Village at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The camps start early in the morning and evening activities are most often held in Teton Village. Although the town of Jackson is only 12 miles away, and public transportation is available, comments from past campers who stayed in town indicate that they would have preferred to stay at the Village. The extra 20 minutes at 7:00am makes a big difference to tired campers. Other Village accommodations are available.
If you prefer a high-end property, there's none more luxurious and convenient than the Four Season Jackson Hole

Equipment and Clothing
Due to the varied conditions and terrain at Jackson Hole an all mountain (mid-fat) ski or an all mountain snowboard is a good choice for camp. If you are bringing additional skis, fat skis are great for fresh snow, and a carving or race ski is perfect for hard pack. However, additional skis are nice but not necessary. One snowboard is enough. Wild West Camp participants will receive special discounts for demo equipment, ski/SB tuning and retail merchandise at Jackson Hole Sports.
Discount Coupons will be available at camp registration. Be sure to bring your skis or snowboard to the Camp Registration if you need a tune up so they will be ready by the first day of Camp.

When packing for your visit, remember that the weather in Jackson Hole can quickly change from beautiful and sunny to cold, harsh storm conditions. Being prepared will allow you to enjoy our mountain in all conditions.

What if I have to miss Registration?
Registration is the evening before the first day of camp and is a great time to meet coaches and other participants. Also, we go over the schedule and hand out lift tickets at that time. However, if you have to miss it, you can come to the Ski School Chalet on the first morning of camp.

Jackson Hole Resort Lodging offers a package discount to Wild West Camp participants and offers a wide variety of accommodations at Teton Village. The most popular choice for campers has been the convenient and economical Village Center Inn, which is located right next to the Tram.

Can I Leave Early on Sunday?
Sunday events generally accommodate for leaving somewhat early. Often, about half of the campers have departure plans for Sunday afternoon. The last morning, groups will take the early tram and ski or ride together until about noon when there is a lunch, debriefing and good-byes. After lunch campers who stay free ski/ride together for the rest of the afternoon with their coach.

What about the Altitude?
The base of Jackson Hole is 6,311 feet and the top of Rendezvous Mountain reaches 10,450 feet - a vertical rise of 4,139 feet. If you are coming from lower altitudes you should take a day or so to acclimate. Realize that the lack of oxygen will make you fatigue more readily. To help prevent discomfort, arrive in good cardiovascular shape and drink plenty of fluids for your entire visit! Some of our campers begin as early as three months in advance to ensure they can get the most out of the four days of camp.

Charging Procedure:
The price of the camp will be charged in full when the reservation is made.

Within 30 days - $100 cancellation fee
