Lauren M. Whaley, 26, is a reformed snowboarder who hopes to learn to ski this season. She has lived in Jackson Hole for about three years and works as a freelance journalist. Her goal to ski from Teewinot run to Corbet's Couloir in one season actually started last year, but was cut short when she tore her ACL on Jan. 1, 2006. Now, she's trying once again to become the well-rounded winter athlete she's always dreamed of becoming. When not skiing this winter, she'll be trying to land freelance assignments, learning more about Internet video making, drinking coffee, dancing, ice climbing (hopefully) and babysitting. Her favorite season is winter and her favorite color is lime green.
