The Holiday Season Kicks Off This Week in Teton Village! 1st Annual Holiday Concert, Cookie Decorating & Tree Lighting This Weekend
(Teton Village, Wyo., December 17, 2007) – Holiday festivities kick off this week in Teton Village with a number of events sure to warm up your holiday spirit and give you even more reasons to come visit Teton Village, in case our incredible early season snow conditions aren’t enough!
Beginning Wednesday, December 19th, champagne and s’mores will be offered Wednesday through Sunday evenings at the top of the gondola throughout the winter beginning at 5:30pm. This is a festive way to start your evening off with a starlit gondola ride, a warm fire and incredible views from 9,095 feet.
On Thursday, December 20th, Jackson Hole Sports will be having a holiday fundraiser from 3:00-7:00pm. 10% of all sales will be donated to the Santa Claus Fund, a local charity which aims to provide new clothes and toys for the less fortunate children of Teton County during the Christmas season. With every purchase over $50, shoppers will receive a free blow up Aerial Tram.
Don’t miss the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Crystal Springs Pond in Teton Village on Saturday, December 22nd from 2:00-4:00pm. There will be ice skating, cookies and hot cocoa, and Santa riding in on his dog-led sled to greet the children.
The World’s Best Cookie Decorating Party is going to be held at the top of the gondola from 4:00-6:00pm on December 23rd, the cost is $15 per child and promises to be fun for all ages!
The first annual Holiday Concert in the newly renovated Walk Festival Hall will be this Sunday, December 23rd from 7:00pm– 8:30pm. Admission is complimentary and the concert will feature the Jackson 6 and Friends, a local group of musicians performing a selection of holiday music. This event is sponsored by the Grand Teton Music Festival, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Jackson Hole Resort Lodging, Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole, Terra Resort Group, Snake River Sporting Club, Teton Club and the Alpenhof.
On Christmas Day, look out for Santa as he will be out skiing on the mountain all day and don’t forget to make your holiday reservations at Couloir Restaurant and Bar, they will be having a Christmas dinner that evening beginning at 5:30pm.
