East Ridge Chair and Rendezvous Bowl Open Dec. 11

East Ridge Double Chair to Open Tomorrow at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR)

(Teton Village, Wyo., December 10, 2007) – Jackson Hole Mountain Resort will open East Ridge Double Chair on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 mid-day allowing lift access to 850 additional vertical feet of our upper mountain, including Rendezvous Bowl and East Ridge.

With over 116” of snowfall this season, we are very pleased to be able to open the majority of our upper mountain for our guests.  Riders will continue to use the South Pass Traverse to connect from the bottom of Amphitheater to Lower Werner or Lower Teewinot to return to the base of Bridger as terrain above and below the traverse at the time of this release remains closed.  If snowfall and colder temperatures continue, routes to the base will increase, along with snowmaking efforts.

JHMR Ski Patrol would like to remind guests to respect the closed signs clearly posted adjacent to the newly opened terrain.  The terrain beyond these signs, although within the ski area boundaries, is not open and due to the current snowpack and unmarked obstacles, is considered highly dangerous.
