New Lift and Air Service for Winter 2005/06
What's New at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort for 2005_06 (Teton Village, WY., September, 2005) - Following their most successful winter to date, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) officials are pleased to announce continued commitment to improving the on and off mountain experience for guests next winter. As a result of extensive capital improvements at JHMR since 1998, the winter visitor profile has changed. Beginners, low intermediates and children of all ages now consider the revered slopes of Jackson Hole their territory too. NEW LIFT TO MID-MOUNTAIN: In response, JHMR is installing a new triple chair "Sweetwater" that will directly link the beginner terrain to low intermediate terrain at mid-mountain. The base terminal will be reached by riding either of the beginner lifts and the top terminal will be situated upslope from Casper Restaurant and Casper Lift. "With steep slopes and lifts that rise over 4200 vertical feet, beginners through low intermediates have historically struggled here. This new lift will dramatically improve their experience and our teaching environment by allowing gradual transition from green slopes to the gentle blues of Casper," commented Brian Maguire, JHMR Mountain Sports School Director. UPGRADED BASE FACILITIES: In addition to this new lift, Teton Village will see a new 72 seat indoor café open at the base of the Bridger Gondola offering a quick and tasty menu selection. The Mountain Sports School and Private Guide desks will also be moved into the Bridger Center to improve customer service and expedite registration processes. DAILY NON-STOP JET FROM DALLAS: JHMR continues to improve air travel options into Jackson by confirming a new daily non-stop flight from Dallas to Jackson on American Airlines in addition to the 4 other non-stop, daily cities; Minneapolis (NWA), Chicago (AA), Denver (UAL) and Salt Lake City (DL). Weekend non-stop service is also available from Atlanta and Cincinnati on Delta.
