US Ski Team Day at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
![]() Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Supports U. S. Ski Team Day (Teton Village, Wyo., February 5, 2007) Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) will join 36 ski resorts nationwide this Saturday, February 10, celebrating U.S. Ski Team Day. US Ski Team Day is a promotional program designed to salute local grass route ski initiatives and to raise money to support U. S. Ski Team athletes. For each lift ticket sold this Saturday, one dollar will be donated by the U. S Ski and Snowboard Association, a 501 (c) 3 organization to support and develop programs for rising athletes. "Jackson Hole has grown some amazing local ski talent over the years. From the excitement of Resi Stiegler's World Cup and Olympic accomplishments, to the dedication of the youngsters who turn out every Saturday to train, we salute them and their families for all their hard work" commented Jerry Blann, President JHMR. "U.S. Ski Team Day 2007 will celebrate skiers' national passion" said Bill Marolt, U.S. Ski Team President and CEO. "We know that tomorrow's competitors are making turns today at ski areas and resorts across the country. Our gratitude goes out to our partner resorts for helping us groom the next generation of U.S. athletes." The U.S. Ski Team, governed by the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, the national governing body of Olympic skiing, fields and maintains teams of world-class athletes for national and international competition, including the Olympic Games. With the vision to be the best, the Team coordinates nationwide development and elite programs in six distinctly different Olympic sports - alpine, cross country, freestyle, nordic combined, ski jumping and snowboard - as well as two Paralympic sports disabled alpine and disabled cross country. While making improvements, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort remains committed to preserving the Old West. Entering our 40th season the same old-fashioned hospitality that welcomed yesterday's mavericks and outlaws, still welcomes today's skiers and snowboarders.
