2008/09 Winter Season

Private Instructors
Having private instructors and guides for your group promotes interaction among participants in a unique and exhilarating environment. Your group’s day will run smoothly- our professionals will meet your group at your lodge or other designated location and ensures that guests arrive at organized lunches, meetings, pictures and activities promptly.

Backcountry Skiing and Snowboarding
Jackson Hole is famous for its expansive and pristine out of bounds areas, and our backcountry guides can show you why. Our guides will take you to untracked terrain and secret powder stashes. While exploring these areas, the guides will help familiarize you with the use of the backcountry safety equipment and travel etiquette. This is an opportunity that any advanced skier or snowboarder visiting Jackson Hole should not miss!

Customized Camps & Lessons
Based on our legendary adultWild West Adrenaline Camps, we can customize a multi-day program to suit your group's agenda and requests.

Tours & Tips
Personalize your group's mountain orientation tour with our new "Tours and Tips."  This 2 to 3 hour mountain tour will be guided by Jackson Hole Mountain Sports School Instructors, and in addition to showing your group the mountain, guides will provide tips and pointers to maximize your skiing experience in Jackson Hole.  Pricing for Tours and Tips will vary depending on group size.  Contact the Groups and Conference Sercice department for more information.

Nordic Skiing
Inject some variety into your ski week by enjoying the cross-country, telemark skiing, and skate skiing available at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Instruction is available, and you may trade one day of your group lift ticket in for a Nordic Trail Pass at no extra cost.

Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing is a favorite activity of both guests and locals. If you can walk, you can snowshoe. It is easy, fun and an excellent way for everyone to view wildlife and the breathtaking Teton Range from snow-covered trails. Snowshoeing is a fun activity that people of different ages and abilities can enjoy together.

Grand Teton National Park Ski Tours
Cross-country ski tours in one of the nation’s most dramatic national parks will add an unforgettable gem to your Jackson Hole experience. Ski along the foot of the Tetons to Jenny Lake or look for wildlife at the base of Granite Canyon. Tours are easy to moderate, and include gourmet lunch and transportation to and from the park.

Snowmobiling in Yellowstone National Park
Piloting your own snowmachine along the snow covered roads in Yellowstone is one of the most memorable winter activities in the whole world. Winter adventurers get to see the real Yellowstone, much like John Colter, the first white man to witness it’s splendor, did during the winter of 1807. You will have the opportunity to see moose, bison, elk, deer, coyote, wolves, and a whole array of different geo-thermal features, including the world famous Old Faithful geyser.

Snowmobiling in Jackson Hole
While a snowmobile trip to Yellowstone is a great sightseeing adventure, many purists of the sport will tell you that the best snowmobiling in Jackson Hole is outside of the park. If you are more interested in opening up the throttle, plowing through virgin powder fields, and blazing a trail through beautiful glades, you should check out the snowmobile tours around Togwotee Pass, Greys River, Granite Hot Springs, and the Gros Ventre Mountains.

Dog Sledding
Dog sledding is an exhilarating and exciting winter adventure. Sit back as your guide takes the reigns and you mush through beautiful Wyoming scenery. Each sled can accommodate up to 2 adults. A dog sled tour is sure to enhance your western winter experience.

Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides through the National Elk Refuge
Yellowstone is not the only place to see a lot of wildlife in Jackson Hole. Located just north of the town of Jackson, the National Elk Refuge is home to coyotes, bison, wolves, and over 7,000 elk each winter. Horse drawn sleigh tours operate through the refuge every day, leaving from the National Museum of Wildlife Art. If you don’t have enough time for a full day of snowmobiling in the parks, definitely take advantage of this opportunity to get up close and personal with the wildlife of Jackson Hole.

National Museum of Wildlife Art
The National Museum of Wildlife Art is home to the nation’s premier public collection of fine art devoted to wildlife. Jackson Hole is exceptionally proud to be home to this beautiful facility.
