Car rental, taxi services, START bus, and airport transportation information.
When you book your lodging, check to see if they offer free pick up from the airport. If not, there are taxis that will drive you into town. The taxi rate is $26 for 1 or 2 people to Jackson and $46 for 1 or 2 people to Teton Village. AllTrans operates a shuttle service and their rates are $14 one-way/$25 round trip per person and $21 one-way/$37 round trip to Teton Village.

If you are staying in Teton Village, you will inevitably travel to town to do some shopping, and if you are staying in town you will need to get to and from the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Jackson Hole has a public transportation system called the START Bus (Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit) that is a cheap and efficient way of traveling around the valley. A one-way trip from the town of Jackson to Teton Village is $3.00 per person.
If you plan on renting a car there are some things you should know: 1. Our abundant snow sometimes makes for stormy driving conditions. 2. Teton Village has multiple parking lots. The Ranch Lot is $5 per car per day or free with 3 or more people in your car. Other lots are $10 per car per day. All our lots are free after 1 pm. 3. The town of Jackson has free parking. 4. The Valley is flat, so unless you are planning a trip to Grand Targhee over Teton Pass, it is not necessary to rent a 4WD vehicle. Please discuss your requirements with the rental car company.
