Summer Kids' Camp Weekly Schedule

June 18 - September 2

Rough Riders (age 3-kindergarten), Explorers (grades 1-5),

(The activities below are promoted but not limited to the dates below.)

 June 18 - June 23

Things to color! Kids will observe the flourishing colors around Teton Village in the early summer. Gardens will be planted and flowers will be painted. Tie-dying t-shirts will be a hit this week. Kids will also engage in additional art activities that explore mixing colors and rainbows.

 June 25 - June 30

Things that climb! Kids can climb on the rock climbing wall just as spiders and vines. The focus this week will be living things that climb around Jackson Hole from mountain goats to squirrels.

July 2 - July 7

Things that roll! The Silver Collector Car Show is also this week! The value of the wheel will be the focus as kids will become drivers in their own cardboard boxcars and race in derbies! Kids will learn to observe how wheels help run the gondola, chairlifts, bikes, the tram motor, the inside of a clock, and other things we depend on every day. 

July 9 - July 14

Things that slide! Kids explore the physics involved in making their own ramps. The playground slide will host several experiments. Kids learn about the techniques of snakes and worms. The water sprinkler cools everyone off on the slip and slide! 

July 16 - July 21

Things that walk and run! Kids learn about how quickly various animals walk and run after they are born and what they might need to run from that might eat them. This week is full of hiking around our resort and examining the local food chain. Kids will also have the opportunity to go horseback riding this week!

July 23 - July 28

Things that hop and jump! Relay races will highlight this week as kids practice teamwork and encouragement as they have fun. Kids will use their imaginations and journals to come up with creative stories about creatures such as grasshoppers and rabbits. The bungee trampoline will be sure to keep kids bouncing this week!

July 30 - August 4

Things that swim! Kids discover the life in the Crystal Springs pond, go fishing, make their own boats of art materials, and play swim-fishy swim. The lifestyles of beavers will also be examined as kids take an opportunity to build there own beaver lodge to hide out.  

August 6 - August 11

Things that inspire! In accordance with the Jackson Hole Art Festival in Teton Village, kids will get in touch with their creative energies this week. Kids will find and explore various mediums to make a group creation for display! Song and dance will also engage kids this week!

August 13 - August 18

Things that fly! Kids learn about aerodynamics while making foam airplane flyers and kites, use binoculars to spot eagles and paragliders, and practice their quickness with nets to examine to beauty of butterflies and insects. A Frisbee golf tournament will highlight this week!

August 20 - August 25

Things that float! Buoyancy is the name of the experiment this week! Kids will make boats and have their own regatta. Hot air balloons will be admired, and kids will get the opportunity to build their own balloons to float up in the air.

August 27 - September 1

Things that grow! Kids learn about the stages of life of various creatures such as catapillars to butterflies and tadpoles to frogs. Kids examine the lifecycles of local flora and learn about the names of the baby and adult fauna here in the Jackson Hole area.
