Tram Splice | Behind the Scenes at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

What is a tram splice? If you’ve been around Teton Village this week and seen this covered walkway on the tram cables, no, this isn’t some cool new summer activity. The tram cables were shortened by roughly 5 meters as routine use stretches out the cables, and this shortening process keeps the cables tight. This is done every few years and is just a part of us keeping the mountain safe.

One more shot of the crew getting the tram splice done- keeping us safe and keeping that tram cruising to the top of Rendezvous Peak in under 9 minutes!
