One of the best ways to enjoy free summer fun in Jackson Hole is to get out and hit the trail.
While the Aerial Tram delivers access to incredible high-alpine views and hiking trails, there is plenty of hiking that starts at the base of the mountain. Whether you’re looking for a challenging hike to the summit of Rendezvous Mountain or just want to find solace with a gentle hike through the woods, there is a trail for you.
The Wildflower Trail is a new trail that lives up to its name. We hiked the trail yesterday with a group of kids from the Kids Ranch. The trail is approximately 2 miles long and features plenty of uphill with a combination of shade and sun.
The wildflowers are in full bloom right now and the group is all smiles.
The trail is an excellent workout but also features some great spots to take a breather and enjoy the views of the valley below.
From the top of the Wildflower trail you can turn around and head back the way you came, or take the slightly longer (2.8 miles) but less steep Summit Trail back to the base. Click here for more info on the trail systems: http://www.jacksonhole.com/hiking.html
