Some of you may have seen the most recent story on the Jackson Hole Babe Force published by powder magazine on Feb 24th. And then there is also the incredible female ski documentary that is in production called Pretty Faces, headed up by local professional skier Lynsey Dyer, that more than doubled their campaign goal.
So what do these two stories have in common? The beautiful story of female skiers shredding hard, uniting as a community, encouraging each other to achieve goals and the power, whit and charm of the female skier.
Yet lets race back about 29 years (in my case) to where it all began when we first threw on skis and began our journey with our best girlfriends and talked about cake, birthday parties, and charged down the mountain without a fear in the world.
Can you remember those first ski lessons? You would count down the days until next Saturday when you left your parents and ski’d with your girlfriends all day long with your favorite instructor.
Today, we introduce the mighty Frozen 5 of Team Frozen from the Jackson Hole Kids Ranch. They are a part of the Rangers program at Jackson Hole that provides adventures and educational age-specific activities and lessons for children ages six months to 17 years old. Dazzled in pink and purple, they rally around the mountain with sheer confidence and excitement.
And, they make sure to take some time to be a bit goofy too…
My ski journey started when I was 5 years old. So to start, these special young ladies from Team Frozen have me beat already by 2-3 years by starting at a whopping age of 2. They are fearless, talented, and will take on any part of the mountain with confidence, precision and skill. We took a moment to interview each lady from the Frozen 5 and we were blown away by their ambitious goals. Here is the low down:

These ladies ski until their legs are wobbling from fatigue because they are having the time of their life and don’t ever want to stop. And when they can sneak in a second, they take a break, and then pop right back up and get after it again.
They are tough, hard core and will take on any challenge you hand out from tree runs, terrain parks and steep slopes…
We couldn’t believe how talented they were, and couldn’t stop thinking about how advanced their ski skills will be when they hit their mid twenties. They definitely look up to you and aspire to be all they can be.
And just like us, they carry encouragement right on their helmets.
Of course, none of this becomes successful without Kim. Kim is their mighty leader making their ski dreams come true every Saturday. Her ski career starting at a whopping young age 5.
Beyond their incredible ski skills, if you are a parent this is an incredible program to enter with your young ones. It is a great opportunity for them to build confidence, work as a team, learn skills, and enjoy skiing. Take it from us, they are in great hands…
So if you see these talented Frozen 5 charging down the moutain, give them a pat on the back or a big high 5. They are the future ladies to carry forth the stoke for female skiers.
