Old Bill’s Fun Run for Charities is happening on September, 7th. Over the past sixteen years, the event has helped local charities raise nearly $91 million and has touched the lives of thousands. Over the years, those dollars have helped house homeless pets, feed the hungry, teach our children and protect Jackson’s natural beauty.

August was born five days ago and has become quite a popular little lady in Teton Village. People line the fence to watch the new colt. She loves to play, eat, and sleep. Sounds like a typical baby right?

The Handle Bar: Slope Side Dining at its Best

Share the stoke!Share on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterEmail this to someone

Earlier this summer a few of us gathered on the slope side deck of The Handle Bar to experience the restaurant’s new summer menu.  When we arrived to the Four Seasons Resort & Residence Jackson Hole we were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the man himself, Michael Mina. Chef Mina was in town refining the summer menu, and took the time to cook and mingle with a few of us locals.  What ensued was an unforgettably lovely meal that was casual yet refined and beautifully balanced.

The horses in front of JHMR are nicknamed the “Teton Village welcoming committee.” Driving into Teton Village it is hard not to notice the massive, friendly horses, often lined up at the fence with people petting their soft noses and feeding them the occasional carrot or apple.

The six horses are all Percherons which is a breed of draft horse. Everyone knows the Budweiser Clydesdales and Percherons are another breed of draft horse. The Percherons are very large, well-muscled, and known for their intelligence and willingness to work. They are proud, mellow, and have a very pleasing disposition. (more…)

Couloir Restaurant: A look at the Seasonal Summer Menu

Last week Allison, Cara and I had dinner at Couloir; both of them were dying to try Chef Wes Hamilton’s 2013 summer menu.  Allison and Cara are the founders of Dishing Magazine, our valley’s leading foodie publication.  Near the end of the meal Cara said “this is one of my favorite dining experiences in Jackson Hole, I wish I could eat here every night!”  Ali and I agreed with Cara, as we sipped the last of our wine and drank in the sunset over the valley below.
