Why just drop into the weekend when you can officially drop into March RADness?! March is here, and so are the concerts, epic après sessions, and spring skiing–Grab a friend, grab an adult beverage (or crispy cold Pepsi), and get out to the village!

Justin Smith Live

  • Location:  The Handle Bar at the Four Seasons in Teton Village
  • Time: Thursday, March 5th from 4 – 7pm
  • Information:  Enjoy après outside!  Beer, delicious bites, and the sweet sounds of Justin Smith

SHELLIE’S RAD INSIGHT:  Apres?  More like ApRAD!  Sorry, that was really bad, but I promise that Justin’s performance will be really good.  Plus, there’s no better feeling than taking in the gorgeous mountain views outside next to a warm fire.  Yup, there’s fire!

Head for the Hills at Town Square Tavern

  • Location:  The Town Square Tavern in Downtown Jackson
  • Time: Friday, March 6th at 9 pm
  • Information:  Tickets are $10, must be 21 to enter

SHELLIE’S RAD INSIGHT: This is an awesome band and we are so lucky that they’re making a stop in Jackson Hole.  The Town Square Tavern is super central, so you can grab dinner in town and then head over!  $10 for a concert is an awesome deal, considering some people are probably paying $10 for a coffee in other towns.   Plus, look how chill, yet intense they look in this photo!

Matt Donovan at The Handle Bar

  • Location:  The Handle Bar at the Four Seasons in Teton Village
  • Time: Friday, March 6th from 4 – 7pm
  • Information:  Enjoy après outside!  Beer, delicious bites, and the rhythmic tunes of Matt Donovan.2-head-for-the-hills

SHELLIE’S RAD INSIGHT:  I know Matt–He’s a great guy, which means that you’ll be supporting a good person AND enjoying music at the same time. Look how happy Ilka and I look in this picture just THINKING about music at The Handle Bar.

86 Hair Band at Mangy Moose

  • Location:  The Mangy Moose in Teton Village
  • Time: Friday, March 6th at 9 pm
  • Information:You asked for it! Well, so maybe you didn’t…but you’re gonna get it! Lay back, relax, and prepare to receive the gift of 86! Dress 80’s style, and be ready to have some serious fun shaking your acid-washed butt to the sounds of Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Guns and Roses, Journey, Whitesnake, etc.

SHELLIE’S RAD INSIGHT:  I am willing to put my reputation on the line for this one.  86 is the best show I’ve seen in a long time and I HIGHLY recommend that you get out to The Mangy Moose on Friday night.  They are electric in every way, and you’ll definitely know all of the songs that they play.  If you’re smart and attend….you should also consider wearing some 80’s flare.  It’ll only enhance the face-meltyness of it all.

Jackson Hole Moose Hockey Game vs. Vermont

  • Location: Snow King Area
  • Time: Friday, March 6th and Saturday March 7th at 7:30 pm
  • Information:  Tickets are $10 at the door, $5 for season passholders

SHELLIE’S RAD INSIGHT:  So I went to the Moose game last weekend and had SO MUCH FUN.  I’ll be honest—I don’t know who won and I didn’t really watch any of the hockey….BUT!  I made at least 3 friends and that’s what it’s all about.  Go Hockey!

Dick’s Ditch Classic Banked Slalom

With 18 categories for groms (age 12), amateurs, masters, and pros in ski and snowboard disciplines, there’s a class for anyone willing to accept the challenge. For more information and registration, click here.

SHELLIE’S RAD INSIGHT: The slogan for Dick’s Ditch this year is “That’s One Crazy Ditch,” because it’s a pretty loco ditch (Spanish for crazy ditch). I’ll be out there as a spectator, so come hangout with me!

BOOK SIGNING with author Kit DesLauriers

  • Location: Jackson Hole Sports in Teton Village
  • Time: Saturday March 7, 2015 from 3:00-5:00 PM
  • Information: Pick up a copy of Higher Love-Skiing the Seven Summits, and meet Kit!

SHELLIE’S RAD INSIGHT: If you want to meet a truly amazing female author, head up to JH Sports on Saturday.  This plan makes a lot of sense, because you’ll already be out here for Dick’s Ditch and then you can tap into your intellectual side with Kit before heading to Music Under the Tram.  I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again–Your welcome for planning your best day eva.

Music Under the Tram – One Ton Pig

SHELLIE’S RAD INSIGHT: Yay!!! Music Under the Tram is back!  Yes…it’s literally under the Tram, so it takes very little effort to finish skiing and then jam out with your friends.  And the friends you don’t know yet. Look for me–I’ll be the girl super excited about everything going on.

Eco Après featuring JH2O

We’ll be selling beer-filled Eco Apres Sili-Pints for $10, which includes a free refill!

SHELLIE’S RAD INSIGHT:  It’s rare that you get an opportunity to do good and have fun at the same time, so be sure to (e)C(0)HECK it out!  There will be raffle prizes, amazing sili-pint beer deals, and philanthropic vibes for all.  Our goal is to raise $2000 so that we can install a JH2O Refillable Water station in the Village Commons.  It’s a good place to head before Music Under the Tram kicks off, and I’ll be in there making as many environmentally relevant puns as my brain can muster.  Don’t miss the puns!

Hell’s Belles

  • Location: The Mangy Moose in Teton Village
  • Time: Saturday, March 7th at 7:30 pm
