It’s been a White Christmas and beyond in Jackson Hole with 66″ falling since December 14th, and only one day without measurable snowfall in that period. The past 48 hours have graced us with 12″ on the upper mountain and 19″ at mid-mountain, with many claiming yesterday as the best powder skiing in years.

Tigger Knecht digs in:

If you were wondering about the “best powder skiing in years” claim, here’s a video shot yesterday and on Christmas Day. Watch Tanner Flanagan and Jess McMillan surf the Christmas day powder, and Tigger Knecht and Cooper Kahlenberg snorkel through yesterday’s deepness.

The upper mountain snow depths are over 70″ already. Cooper Kahlenberg takes full advantage:

Snorkel time.

With 173″ already falling this season, the mountain is in incredible shape. Take a look at our snow graph for a comparison of snowfall at Western U.S. resorts this season below, and check out the full snow report here.
