Along with a huge range of outdoor activities, the Town of Jackson and Teton Village are also home to great shopping and dining, among other things. If you're looking to unwind after a long day of national parking and wildlife chasing, there are a wide variety of massage & spa options awaiting your indulgence. And if all that isn't enough, Jackson Hole's nightlife is just as exciting as .
What few know, however, is that the shoulder seasons of spring and fall are hidden gems. Springtime brings solitude and wildlife with plenty of great activities, including snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. You're also more likely to see the local wildlife, as animals come down to the snow-free valley to feed. Temperatures and weather can vary widely in the spring, so pack intelligently and be prepared!
Fall also brings fewer people to the valley, and as a result, discounted lodging rates. The changing foliage and golden leaves of the aspen trees can be glorious against a backdrop of the Tetons and other surrounding mountain ranges. Fall also brings the mysterious bugle of the elk - as snow begins to fall, as many as 10,000 elk make their way to the National Elk Refuge in the valley. Hunters also make their way to northwest Wyoming at this time of year. Hunting is, of course, not allowed in the national parks, but game is abundant elsewhere throughout the Jackson Hole area.
