News: Couloir and the Deck are now proud members of 1% for the Planet. Giving back as a 1% member compliments the restaurant’s eco-friendly best practices of guaranteeing the majority of its ingredients come from a 250-mile radius, menus designed seasonally to reduce carbon footprint and extensive use of local farmer’s markets and ranches.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a founding member of the Climate Challenge! The Climate Challenge is an innovative sustainability program that aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the ski industry due to the industry´s exposure to climate change. Jackson Hole is one of eight resorts nationally that has taken the challenge for the 2011/12 season. More information on the Climate Challenge

- Continually review and improve our environmental program.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has achieved ISO 14001 registration of its environmental programs, the second of only two ski resorts in the US to achieve this recognition. ISO 14001 registration is the most widely known and respected environmental stamp of approval, which demonstrates responsible management of our environmental impacts. Our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) requires that all our environmental projects include:

Includes documentation on resources/roles/responsibility, competence/training, communication, documentation, documentation control, operational control, and emergency preparedness.

Includes monitoring/measurement, compliance evaluation, nonconformity/corrective action/preventive action, record control, internal audit, and management review.
