Qualified New Hire
If you are an experienced professional with a minimum of a Level One certification and at least 3 years full-time teaching experience within PSIA-AASI(3) or have the foreign equivalent, including ISIA certification, then you may be considered for an instructing position with the JHMSS without attending our Instructor Training Camp (ITC).
To be considered an experienced applicant you must be able to show evidence of current certification and provide references and a copy of your last season Ski School evaluation. All experienced applicants must complete an online application. JHMR Mountain Sports School is accepting a very limited number of H2b visa applicants this year. The deadline for these applications is Aug 15. Interested applicants should complete the online application and submit their supporting documents as soon as possible to ensure ample time for visa processing. Please submit all documentation to Lexey Wauters at email@example.com.
If you are not successful at gaining employment as a qualified applicant then you may still apply as an "Inexperienced New Hire" by attending the 2013-2014 Instructor Training Camp (ITC). See below for more information.
All successful applicants must be available for Qualified New Hire Training December 11, 2013. Successful applicants may also be needed for earlier training depending on what program they are selected to work in.
You may be required to start work immediately following training depending upon levels of business. It is mandatory for all employees to be available to work our peak periods listed below.
Inexperienced New Hire
Applicants who have not taught skiing or snowboarding or who are certified Level 1 instructors with less than three years of full-time teaching experience are required to complete an online application and attend the Instructor Training Camp (ITC) to be held December 2-5, 2013.
Jobs will be offered to candidates based upon performance at the ITC and availability of positions within the JHMSS. The number hired will depend on the number of returning instructors to the JHMSS and business outlook for the 2013-2014 winter season. We will not be deciding on the final hiring numbers until the last day of the ITC.
