Posted on - 2009-12-15

(Teton Village, WY., December 15, 2009) With three feet of snow falling at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) in the last week the Bridger Gondola will open on Thursday December 17th and Casper Chair the next day, opening up 2800 vertical feet and much more terrain.

JHMR will open main runs including Lupine Way to Amphitheatre, Upper Gros Ventre and Upper Sundance. Casper will open up intermediate terrain including Lift Line, Easy Does It and Sleeping Indian. Croaky Point will also be open. A combination of natural and man-made snow will make for some first-rate, long cruising runs. Solitude and South Pass Traverse will connect upper mountain skiers and snowboarders to the lower terrain accessed from the Apres Vous and Teewinot lifts. On Mountain restaurants and services accessed by these lifts will also open.

“We have seen a steady flow of skiers and snowboarders on Apres Vous and are looking forward to opening up more terrain this week. The expected snowfall through the week should continually improve conditions and allow us to prepare for the opening of the aerial tram in the near future." commented Jerry Blann, President, JHMR.
