Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Experiences
Record December and Holiday Season

(January 7, 2012 Teton Village, WY) Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) welcomes in the New Year with great snow and unprecedented business levels for the holiday period. Jackson Hole experienced record breaking skier day numbers for the month of December. Mountain Sports School had its best holiday period ever driven by children's programs, guided skiing and private lessons.

The new Casper lift and intermediate trail expansion, in addition to the Marmot lift the year prior, allowed the mountain to handle the significant increase in skier days. "The new Casper lift and improved intermediate terrain was received extremely well by our guests, and was key in the way the mountain handled the increase in skier visits so well," stated Jerry Blann, JHMR President. Blann also noted, “Guests couldn’t be happier, as proven by Net Promoter Scores from the week jumping 12 percentage points higher than any time in our history.” The entire mountain was open mid December, and conditions have been leading the industry with more than 16 feet of snow so far this season. A Christmas Eve storm cycle dropped two feet of snow for holiday skiers and riders to enjoy, making the holiday in Jackson Hole truly memorable. The Tetons received 25 days of snowfall in the month of December resulting in above average snow totals and depths for the season.

"There is strong buzz about what is going on at Jackson Hole this winter, and it is showing up in future bookings," stated Chip Carey, Chief Marketing Officer. Now through February 15th, book your Jackson Hole Vacation and save $500. For more details visit

Jackson Hole continues to famously deliver our legendary powder snow, 4,139 continuous vertical feet, 2500 acres of the best beginner, intermediate and expert skiing and snowboarding and a genuine “Last of the Old West” atmosphere. Three years of extensive investments in grooming, snowmaking, lifts and visitor services across the mountain have created an entirely new mountain experience for a broad variety of guests and we intend to continue to broaden this appeal. Neighboring the legacy National Parks of Yellowstone and Grand Teton and operating in Grand Teton National Forest there is no more spectacular setting for a destination resort in the world. Now with nine nonstop cities (and hundreds of connections) flying to the newly expanded airport, Jackson Hole is one of the most easily accessed destination resorts in the West.
